Is there a good manual with instruction on editing an xvid source that contains
    Video: XVID 1280x720 23.98fps 4224Kbps [Video 0]
    Audio: Dolby AC3 48000Hz 6ch 384Kbps [Audio 1]

I've tried using SloveigMM Video Splitter which has worked for me in the past but for this particular source the result came out to choppy video.

I've tried using these instructions https://www.videohelp.com/virtualdubedit.htm, but I can't seem to drag the bar to it's starting point, etc... I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Do the left and right arrow keys advance one frame at a time ?

If so, Alt + either one of those keys advances 50 frames at a time. If I want to skip thru quickly (looking for commercials etc) I'll just hold them down and it jumps 2 secs (PAL) at a time rather swiftly.

Does the file look like it opens properly ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

The file opens properly But it is a big file. Keys don't advance one frame at a time.
