I have a video file which plays back the video but not the sound. When I opened up the file with Mediainfo, it tells me that its MPEG-2 audio. I've tried installing the Fraunhofer MPEG2 Video/Audio Filters but the sound still wont play. Anyone have any suggestions on what codec I should install to get this to work?

Actually, it's a good idea NOT to install a codec pack, but just the one specific codec you need. I don't think I've personally heard of MPEG-2 audio in a movie... what does the latest beta of GSpot tell you about the file?

If it's an MPEG-2 movie (video), it might actually be AC3 audio.
