I have an a/v switcher that can handle svideo and rca jack audio.
I know these are usually used for multi source and 1 tv. However, I need it for the opposite. I want to be able to run my computer with my monitor and 1 of 2 tv's....So I have one input with a choice of 2 outputs.

I tried hooking up the video switcher backwards....i.e. ...the pc hooked up to the output and the tv's hooked up to invidual inputs but it did not work.

Is there a box that can do this? Or would it be possible to split the S-video and RCA jack audio to play on both tv's at the same time?

    Thanks,
    Andy

The box has diodes that only allow signal to pass in one direction. They help to filter the signal, but if you run it backwards, it'll block the signal as you stated.

If you're running from an RCA or Svideo out point, you can get a regular Y jack if you're planning to use the signals at the same time, or just shut one device off and run the other. Don't really need a switch. A distribution amp will work if you're connecting a TV to a VGA signal because you need a converter. Many of these distribution amps have this capability, but there are some that don't.

I'm not quite sure what your output/input connections are, but it sounds like this:

S-video or RCA out from source, to RCA or S-video in on receiver.

When you mention "to monitor" and "from computer", it sounds like you got VGA or DVI connectors, so you may need to clear that confusion to get a more specific answer.
