Hi all!
I used Cool Edit pro for synchronise translated audio file with
original audio. After 4 hour work I have make a mistake!
Need only Stereo file convet to Mono and by Convert Sempel Type I not attention that all Channels set 100%, but
for stereo to mono convertion, must be only one Channel set to 100%!
Now my Audo sound with some silly barrel or cask-effect! !
Problem is that I have save this file and close the Coll Edit
now I cant open resp. go back with undo-help.
Please, if is posseble, how can I normalise this file, that will
sond without this silly cask-effect! ?
if needed, I can put on my ftp 2 small WAV file, please help
Thanks
SKeeper

Echo is the effect your hearing. I'm not clear on what the problem is but if the 2 tracks are in sync at the beginning but go out of sync as it plays back you can cut one of the tracks if it is dialog and line up each piece to sync with the original in multi-track and then edit down to stereo and normalize from there.
What version of CoolEdit are you using? -
You had to do some time-shifting of one of the channels to get the "barrel" effect. Without the original files to correct, you are basically out of luck. Took you 4 hours? At least now you know what you did and can really zoom through the same file again.
For stereo to mono conversions, set both channels to 50%.ICBM target coordinates:
26° 14' 10.16"N -- 80° 16' 0.91"W
