I tried to open an AVI file in TMPGEnc3Xpress. The first time I got a message saying only the audio part of the file could be opened. When this has happened before, it was because I needed a codec, and installing the proper codec fixed the problem. But GSpot tells me that compatible codecs are in fact installed.
I tried again, and this time it was added to the list, but when I opened the editing screen and tried to edit ir, I got a message saying: An error occured during a transmission with VFAPI Frame Server. Then a Microsoft message popped up saying that VFAPIFrameServer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close, with the option of sending an error report.
Has anyone else encountered this? Can it be fixed?

I have the exact same problem. I'm looking for information on how to fix that. Please, if you have the solution let me know.
Thanks.Ai que beleza... -
I just decided to use ConvertX2DVD instead of TMGEnc. Different purpose, I know. But my purpose was to convert to dvd and convertx2dvd did it perfectly, with menu's, chapters, and selectable subtitles.
