Someone sent me a DVD that they apparently made on one of those standalone "copy a TV show on to a DVD" things. It didn't work, and when I asked him, he said he'd forgotten to finalize it. Is there any way I can finalize it? I think he said the unit was a Pioneer if that makes any difference.

Not sure, but if that person is too far away, you might be able to take it to a local retail store and finalize it in the same display model (if that store happens to have the same model on display of course -- if not, then maybe a different model from the same company)?

Get them to send another that has been finalized or send it back so they can fix the issue .

No retail outlet would allow you to use one of there's to finalize the disc ... there not in that bussiness .

  4. Why not use DVDDecrypter or Imgburn to finalize?

That's a new one on me. I had no idea you could finalize a DVD Recorder disc with DVDDecrypter. Exactly how would you do that? I can't even extract the video data from an unfinalized disc using DVDDecrypter.

I use ISOBuster to extract files from unfinalized DVD Recorder discs. It's worked every time so far.
