  3. I've had some problems with encoding MPEG-1 files with TMPGEnc 2.50. Every so often, what looks like a corrupt frame will appear. A part of the frame wil have large green blocks on it. I've tried various settings, along with frameserving with avisynth, but in the end I went back to 2.02 and all issues went away. I'm also using XP.

There's got to be something I'm missing here. Is there a TMPGenc v 2.5 out? Where?

    kingkill,
I changed the priorities as you suggested and now 2.02 will accept my avi.
However I am still getting no sound output for my movie.
I'll have to try another conversion prog until I have time to dig into this problem.
    thanks
