fix it? I burned a DVD and the streams in the VOB file are mpeg 2 video and MPEG audio (instead of ac3) The video and audio are out of sync by about half a second or maybe a second, hard to tell. Is there a way I can easily sync the two back up without having to re-encode?
    Thanks so much

Re-encode? Probably not needed, but you'll probably have to re-author. What MPEG audio did you use? Why didn't you use AC3? What did you use to author the disk?

I'm not sure what kind of MPEG audio it is actually, I would have rathered AC3 for compatibility but this program did it automatically... Is there a way to fix it in it's already VOB format?

You'll have to demux the VOB(s) and reauthor. I know IfoEdit has a configurable audio delay/offset.

IfoEdit is a very "basic" (but complex) DVD authoring app. It expects elementary DVD compliant streams (m2v video+LPCM/AC3/MP2 audio). You can get those by demuxing the VOB(s) from ConvertXtoDVD

but will it let me offset the video and audio so i can sync it up, and will it let me preview that offset so I can see if it's actually in sync?

Better than one where you can't change the offset at all...

I believe that mplayer allows you to designate a delay/lead for audio "on the fly" (+ and - buttons I believe) so it could be used to test that you've got the delay correct without needing to re-author "blindly".
    If in doubt, Google it.
