my volume is PERFECT in everything else BUT the dialogue is VERY LOW when i play dvd's.

when i rip the dvd's to a divx file the dialogue is perfectly loud and clear. for some reason, when i play dvd's the dialogue track comes out real low.

i am using VLC and id like to try to get it to work rather than installing a PowerDVD or Theater Tek, etc

    Any thoughts? =)

you can boooooost the audio with ac3 filter or ffdshow(set it decode ac3 and dts). but you can't use vlc then you need a directshow player like media player classic.
