I´ve been trying to convert XVid into DivX files in order to play them in my DVD player.
I tryed Nandub, but I could only extract the first audio stream. I tryed to save the XVid file in Nandub in direct stream copy with 'no audio' as primary stream and 'AVI Audio' with 'Direct stream copy' as secondary stream in order to obtain a new .avi file with only one stream and then extract that stream as wave. But the new file is mute, even if the size of the file seems that it contains that audio stream.
Is there a program to demux AVI tracks, like vStrip does with vob files?

I hope somebody could understan my lousy english and answer me.
    Thanks.

    Guilherme Nielsen.

virtualdubmod might be able to assist. Older versions (around 1.5 ish) allowed you to go to streams > stream list, and then simply select the track you wanted to keep and allowed you to disable the other track.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Most DivX players do XviD as well. Doesn't yours? If not, it may be just a matter of changing the four cc from XVID to DIVX.
If at all avoidable, don't reencode.

mats.hogberg I totaly agree with you, I tried to run my XVid files, but it freezes freezes around the middle of the movie, and it seems my DVD player can´t read the 'total time' of the files nor use the function 'goto' in this files. Thanks for your help.

Bullseye! Thank you, jimmalenko! I tried virtualdubmod from Gordian Knot Rip Pack, which I have in my PC, and it does the trick.
