I have had a look thru loads of posts but couldn't find anything to answer the following.
I have 2 networked PC's at home, I have the latest SVCD2DVD installed on one of them and was wondering if I could also install it on the other machine without causing conflicts in either the running of the program (eg registration keys or anything like that) or I was more concerned as to whether or not ChrissyBoy had any issues with punters using more than one copy.
I personally love this software and have been using it for a good long time now and have no intentions of annoying the author in any way - keep up the good work.
The main reasons for wanting to use the 2 copies is that I have loads of tv shows and films in avi format and am going thru them converting to DVD's and I thought that seeing as I have 2 PC's I could get thru the avi's twice as fast if both PC's were sharing the workload. It is also the case that from time to time I find it more comfortable in front of one of the machines rather than the other and it is a little annoying to have to go thru to the other to set up or check up on a convertion process.
Any comments much appreciated.
I would assume that each install uses it own registration details, however not sure what happens if/when both machines (which are networked and therefore both connect to the internet) do their little internet authenticity checks using the same user id and different registration details.

No problem at all. You can install on 3 PCs that you own for your own use.... The registration process will account for this.... Just use the wizard as normal.

Hi Chrissyboy,
I have often wondered this very thing. I would like to put SVCD2DVD on my other computer but it does not have internet access. I like to keep this one computer as clean as possible. Any way to put SVCD2DVD on another computer that does not have internet access?
Thanks,
Mark -
Yep. You could start SVCD2DVD on the non-internet PC, copy the UserData/Name from the registration window to a floppy/USB (or any other method to get it to the Internet PC). Go to a PC with internet. Send the info to me in an email & I will send your registration code. Copy this to a floppy & take it back to the first PC and copy & paste it in to the registration window.
