    Hi,

    I have a divx video and the audio is encoded with vbr, I am trying to encode so I can burn it as a dvd but because of the vbr, the audio is out of sync.

    I went into vdub and managed to get the wav but I'm not sure how to add it back to the video to solve my problem, if I click save avi it makes a huge file that is far too big to fit on my hdd, is there a way to just add the new track to the existing video without taking up lots of space?

    Thanks

    add the wav audio, audio->wav file,
    select video->direct stream copy
    then save as a new avi.

    I don't use external WAV audio source when I encounter a AVI with VBR audio

    I set VDub audio to "full processing mode" and video to "direct stream copy"

    then I change audio to PCM Uncompressed format and interleave it with video every 1 frame, but without preloading anything or delaying anything

    This method usually solves my audio sync problems with VBR

    There is no reason to put the audio and video back together if you are going to convert the video to MPEG-2 DVD spec. The combining of video and audio is done in the DVD authoring stage.
