Updating your Logitech® G5 Laser Mouse's firmware to track on more

During the upgrade you will see the following mesages (don't panic):

1. "Found New Hardware: A problem occurred during hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly."
2. "USB Device not recognized: One of the USB devices connected to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message."

Note: The firmware upgrade program will not work in WXP 64 bits.

Most laser mice have updateable firmware.

Laser mice are somewhat new. At the price you pay they still haven't caught on with mainstream consumers.

Logitech released last month a second firmware (v1.2) update for the G5 Laser mouse. It is spoused to improve tracking capabilities on more surfaces.

I just updated my mouse 1.1 to 1.2 and it it working just fine.
