I've read (I think it was even on this forum) that I could use WVW to fix out of sync files, so I downloaded it the other day to try it out.

But when I open my avi file to the program, it gives me an error that "DivX(tm) MPEG-4" codec, and that the editor cannot find it's codec on my system..
I usually use VLC player, so I downloaded FFDshow off DivX.com, 'cause it had all the codecs I needed...

but after installing it, WVW still couldn't find the codecs needed..

Is there a way to fix this? in that case..how?

Isn't it an MPEG editor only ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

    install the divx codec.

but mpeg video wizard is mainly for mpeg editing...not for fixing divx syncing...or what are you doing? converting to dvd?? or?

    I stand corrected.

    3. Can I import AVI files into MPEG Video Wizard?

    Yes, you can.
In order to import an AVI file, the editor will need the help of an installed video/audio codec. Currently, the editor only recognizes VFW (Video For Window) drivers.

Please also note that AVI is just a file name and like a big box which can contain different things --- compressed or uncompressed video and audio.
Who would've thought their FAQ would hold the answers, eh ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
