    Can I overwrite previous versions with new updates?

    I've noticed that if I add assets from two different locations, they're treated as separate movies. So I make sure my .avi files are in the same location, and add them together.
    Is it possible to add assets from two different folders and still have them combined into the same movie?

    Thanks so much for your help.

    Yep. You uninstall the version you have first then install the latest.

    Yep. But you need to manually arrange the DVD layout. So basically just drag & drop the assets to the asset window. Then drag the assets you want to the VTS layout and reorder them if required:

    See http://software.badgerit.com/SVCD2DVD/DemoMovies/ManualLayout.htm for another example.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    Thanks so much for your prompt reply. I found the tutorial you linked quite helpful-- I hadn't realized that Autofit was recommended for all .avi's. I'd assumed it was intended only for when the capacity on the DVD was exceeded.
