As a kid, you must have done the thing where you draw a character on the corner of a pad of paper - slightly different on each page. Then, when you flick the pad quickly, it looks like the character is moving?

Well, video is pretty much the same - a series of still images played quickly so that we see motion. Each "page" of the pad, or each picture in the video, is called a "frame".

    All is explained here: http://www.wrigleyvideo.com/videotutorial/tutdes_basickeyframes.htm

...and, conveniently, it's using Premiere 6.5
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

Keyframe usually refers to a frame where an affect, action etc. begins, changes or ends. For a simple example if your moving an object around in a video you can set a keyframe each for the start point and the end point. You can add addional keyframes in between if for example you wanted it to zig-zag...

  4. A GLOSSARY is a list of terms and their accompanying definitions. There is an extensive one here, this will alleviate your confusion on this and many other topics. While finding it on the brightly highlighted area on your left, you may very well discover lots of other interesting and useful information.

  6. LOOK at the brightly colored area on the left of the page. Read it. Read a lot, then read some more. Take some time, there is a wealth of information there.
