  1. I have a VCD mpg file and the volume of sound is too low.

Can you tell me how to transfer the file to another one with increasing volume without loss of video quality?

Pls advise free software for it.

  2. Try TMPGEnc.

Bottom right, under stream type, load VCD template.
Then click "Setting"..."Advanced" tab...double click "Audio Effect" (at bottom)...look for "Change Volume".

    That should do it.

    Ok,

In Tmpgenc under File Mpeg Tools

    Select the Demultiplex Tab
and export the video and audio

Then load up Sound forge or another good Audio Editing program maybe Goldwave which is shareware.

and under Processing or something like select Normilizer and normalise your audio i use speech for my preset but you should experiment to findout what setting you prefer.

Then save it as a Wave file.

The load up Tmpgenc load the wave under audio and select on the bottom righthand side Audio Only. Then under setting select the settings that you require then hit ok and start the encode of the audio only and it should encode it to an mp2.

    The goto file-Mpeg Tools.
    Under Multiplexing
select what type of Mpeg stream.
Then add the video stream you save from demultiplexing.
Then add the newly created .mp2 audio file created and hit run.

When it's completed you now have you louder audio and untouched video.

    Hope that helps.
