  1. here goes..

    I downloaded 6 files.. 3 were .dat , 3 were .cue files

Now I opened the .cue files.. no matter if I kicked on the .dat or .cue 2 were for first vid.. 2 were for sound vidoe get it?

So I extracted the Media Files only.. 3 in the end all .dat and they were move files.. but still .dat

So I converted it to MPEG 1..

Now from there I burned it onto a cdr w
    using the tech in vcdhelp.com

NOW from there I go to dvd player.. it loads I come to a blue screen.. it says 69 min .. the time of the movie.. but no matter what wont play..

Now I can play the movies on my comp.. please some one explain what I need to do.. do i need to convert everything? or am I doing to much? thanks bye

Now the cue files are movie.. format.. or somthing.. and when I extract them I end up with abuch of folder..
Now when I open another vcd I have.. it shows thoes same folders.. but when I try to burn the folders it says illegel action

I am more than a bit confused by your post, but I am sure that a cue file is a CD image. Just try burning the image. If you did, just ignore me.. tired...

  3. I also could not follow that post too well, (maybe its just me), but just a tip. the best way to convert DAT to MPEG1 is to click on your file, erase the dat extension, and put in mpg. it works. i mean a dat Clip, and an MPG clip of the same thing have the exact same byte size, so there isnt exactly some magical conversion going on.

  4. I think I am following... and if so, am having a similar problem.

    I download a movie,
convert from .avi to mpeg-2 using TMPGenc,
author and burn with VCDEasy using info from the Author section here,
then when I put the CD-RW into my DVD Player and press play I get a blue screen.

The file works great on my PC, hence I thought it might be my settings for burning.

Does this mean anything to anyone... I am getting quite frustrated. The NTSC and SVCD download worked perfectly. But, it had an auto-burn through Adaptec, so I don't know.

Thanks for any info you can share!
