I dunno about the CD-RW's, but I use Memorex 80-min. CDR's exclusively on my TDK VeloCD writer with absolutely no problems whatsoever...

The discs I make for others all work fine in their machines as well...

When you all say they suck, are you only speaking of the RW's??? I don't use RW discs, only the CDR's...I like the top white coating they use for the label side...tough to scratch off, unlike silver-topped cd's...

Every time I buy new CDRW's I have to use the FULL ERASE method in Nero, not the quick method. The quick method only blanks the TOC track. I have used Memorex 74 min CDRW's withouth any problems. Try to fully erase the CDRW first, I think it takes 20 minutes for the full erase, and ~1 minute for the quick erase.

The only time you FORMAT a CDRW is to use it with Direct CD.

You should select ERASE if you want to reuse a CDRW for VCD or audio.
