Ok, I really need some help with settings or anything that will make this work.

I've tried WinAVI with Xvid codec. All I get is an audio stream thats only playable in Media Player Classic(Real Alternative). When I use Divx, the video produced is really choppy and the audio is out of sync.

I've tried some other programs too but they take way to long to allow me to do anything effectively.

Does anyone here have settings that work for them in RMVB ->> AVI (Xvid or Divx, whichever one is better)? Everytime I try to convert to AVI xvid I get a pictureless file.

I've had very mixed results (to say the least) using WinAVI, and I quickly uninstalled it. I've also tried numerous other programs, but have had the best results using MediaCoder. After some experimentation and tweaking the settings, I've had the best results using it. Good Luck.

If you really want to use a all-in-one for RMVB conversions, you might try SUPER. But the method guns1inger linked to should give you better quality.

I'm having some trouble with AVIsynth....

    I get this error

    Avisynth open failure:
Evaluate: System exception - Access Violation
    (C:\Documents and Settings\Deric Kuang\My Documents\LWOLAPconvert\LWOLAP.avs, line 1)

I get ^^ that when I open it in VirtualDubMod

filepath for where I have my avs file. It's in the same folder as the rmvb file im trying to convert.
The filepath for the video is:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Deric Kuang\My Documents\LWOLAPconvert\LWOLAP.rmvb

    Heres the Avisynth notepad script:
    DirectShowSource("C:\Documents and Settings\Deric Kuang\My Documents\LWOLAPconvert\LWOLAP.rmvb", fps=29.97, convertfps=true)

Can anyone help me with my predicament?
