    if a dvd recorder has a firewire port on the front can you record from your dv cam straght to dvd?
    If you can which format will it be recorded and roughly how much footage will you get on the dvd?

    1. Yes.

    2. Typically 1,2 or 4 hours as XP, SP, and LP.
