    I want to get Final Cut Studio or Avid Xpress, but I don't what kind of computer you need for that. I would like multiple monitors and all the cool stuff you always see, but what kind of computer systems would I need for that?

    Now, I'm leaning towards FCP (studio). Will I need a Mac? I want to just get a really good system to work with.

    Final Cut only runs on a mac .... http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/

    like i said -- $20,000 on up (though without all the extras like dual cinema displays and external storage - you could come in under 10,000$ ....

    if you want to do HD -- double these prices ...
