    Is there anyway to prevent Nero from checking if an MPG is okay to burn as VCD/SVCD?

    Send a message via Yahoo to BerrantRyke
    Uncheck the box that says "Make Compliant VCD"

    Should be in the first window that opens when you click on VCD or SVCD. You have another chance when you hit BURN button.
