I am trying to upgrade my firmware for my NEC 3540A, I am trying to use Binflash and as far as I get is scan it in Command Prompt :
List of supported devices:
Device : H:
Vendor : _NEC
Model : DVD_RW ND-3540A
Firmware : 1.01
don't understand how to dump or write dump and save it
don't understand how to flash and write new flash that I downloaded.
I want to flash with 1.04 new firmware
Found out this should solve my +DL burning problems.
Could someone help me with this flashing stuff?

I use Binflash with Windows Gui, it allows you to dump/save your old firmware and then flash the new one, all point and click from within Windows XP. (Win32 Gui)

Pick a firmware from here, I'm currently using Liggy's Bitsetting 1.04 with good results.
