I am having problems trying to back up my homemade dvds...they are on Sony DVD+R from my Liteon DVD recorder. they are made in japan and are taiyo yuden coded with accucore...

I have made copies from my Stand alone liteon recorder using Maxell DVDs but the Sony's I can't get to copy on my computer...
In dvd Decrypter, I get the i/o err Interpretation:No seek complete which I think means it can't read my dvd on vob3 file...it stops on vob3 file for both sonys DVD+Rs that I've made and tried to copy.
I then tried DVDfab Decrypter express, was able to make a copy of a maxell homemade dvd-r on that but again couldn't do the Sony dvd+R copy (it was still transferring data from vob3 file when I cancel but at a very very slow rate that would have taken all day or maybe two days to do...so I never got an error but it was extremely slow and I cancelled)

I don't know what else to try. I read alittle about ISO buster ...would that help me? or is there something else to do?

    Any and all suggestions appreciated,
    thanks,
    jill

Sorry but it would not let me edit my last post to this thread ...
but I just wanted some opinions on whether to try ISObuster or Anydvd because it costs money to use these options and I wanted others opinions before I spent money as I did not know if there was another way to solve this problem without spending money using free ware or some other method...

    thanks again

  4. You already have software that was working and you cancelled it out.

I'd just let it run, no guarantee that the other software would work any faster. Obviously you have some damage on the disk you are trying to process so it will be slow. I'm hoping you looked at the bottom of the disc and checked for scratches and dirt?

I'm guessing that your reader is not giving problems on other discs?

I have checked the bottom of the disc...there are no marks/scratches/nothing the eye can see....It is a brand new Sony DVD+R disc that was just made the other day and I find it hard to believe that it is damaged since I have hardly touched it. I also tried to make another copy of a homemade Sony DVD+R which was also recently made and not touched much and it too encountered the exact same error (no seek complete on decrypter when burning file mode in vob file 3) which leads me to believe that it is the brand of discs that is causing my problem since it burned the Maxell dvd+r fine...
I was hoping maybe someone else had this problem with trying to make a copy of a homemade sony dvd+r disc and could help me or someone has heard of this?
The reason I cancelled the DVDFabdecrypter is because it was taking forever to do and I did not feel comfortable leaving my computer on while I had to go out. Is it normal for a disc that may have read problems to take one or two days to transfer on DVDFabDecrypter? It was transferring at an extremely slow rate and I did not know if it would even finish the dvd transfer.
I am very new to think stuff ...I have cleaned my laser lens on the dvd burner and cleaned the disc...I will test is some more and report what happens.
