    hey guys,
    i'm looking for a guide but i can't find the right one.. tried to search for it but it didn't work. my problem is that i have a still digital camera which i can also film short videos with, and i would like to send these video to my friends. how can i compress those AVI files in the best way (xvid or divx format)??

    please explain to me or reffer me to the right guide

    in what video container does it record? .mov,.avi,.mp4?

    the camera is canon powershot G3, and the file format is AVI. i would like to compress that file.
