  1. Not sure if this is the right forum, if not I appologise.

I have Samsung DVD-R120 DVD recorder. I recorded a show on a TDK DVD-RW and was trying to convert it to PSP format. However, when I place the DVD in the Plextor 1640 drive the drive does not recognize the content on the DVD.

I am sure it is possible to do. What is the right way to record and how can this be converted?

    Thanks

Please use a more descriptive post title that reflects your post content. "How Can I Do That?" is not descriptive. You will get more responses this way and others will be able to search for your post subject if they have similar problems.

What DVR format did you use to record it? Did you finalize the disc?

  3. No I did not finalize the disc. Most likely this is the problem. Thanks for the suggestion. I will try it now.

Most likely, what has happened is that you burned your DVD-RW on the Samsung in RAM format, and the Plextor/Benq 1640 doesn't recognize RAM format...if you have another burner which can read RAM format types (VRO extension vs. VOB in a regular DVD structure) that would be the quickest way to see if that is the problem...If you have another writer but aren't sure if it'll read the RAM format, search the DVD writers section here for your specific model, and it should show if it is RAM capable..

Addendum: After seeing you didn't finalize, that can put a pickle in your bucket aqnd really screw things up too

  5. I finalized the disc and was able to open it using the burner. It is a VRO format. I opened it in the VirtualDubMod and it performed the 'Parsing interleaved MPEG-2' process.
