My outbox is empty. But (not sure why), I decided to keep a message sent to me on 12/26/2004 (in my SAVEBOX) from a British user offering to sell me a whole bunch of proprietary software for only £20. Here's the list (also showing what he said were the retail prices):
To show my good intent you should pay me AFTER you have received the software. Below is the software list.
ULEAD DVD WORKSHOP 2 £250
ULEAD MOVIE FACTORY DISC CREATOR £40
ULEAD MEDIA STUDIO PRO £170
ULEAD VIDEO STUDIO £40
SONY SOUND FORGE 7 £200
ROXIO 6
SONIC DVDit
To receive the very important editing software MPEG Video Wizard download the trial version from the website below into MY DOCUMENTS & install but don’t insert the serial number they E-Mail you, I will send you the serial number which keeps the software working permanently.

I think I remember Cap saying something about that to me. It always amazes me to find that spammers think they won't get nailed to the wall if they keep it to PMs. They don't realise the respect the users here have for these boards (and damn lucky we are for that, too).

I can't believe that I have 23 PMs. It looks like most were directions or questions about some of the other forums and such.IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT? -
I think most people here are listing pm's in their inbox. The outbox holds mails you send, but which have not yet been read by the recipient. Once read they are sent to the sent box.

Well thats not your outbox then is it :P

What I mean is the oldest messages that are in your "Outbox" ie. those that are still waiting to be delivered.

wmalex59,
I took the liberty of editing your post to remove the reference to downloading TV shows or Bittorrent. This is considered warez (illegal copies) at VideoHelp and I, as a Moderator, would have had to issue you a formal warning and lock your thread.
You can ask about anything in general, but just don't mention anything specific if you don't own copyright access (i.e bought and paid for it)

Ok, I figure it out.. thanks everyone.
I have several from waaayyy back to the year 2001, but the one below
is the oldest one on record for me.
First of all, I would *never* post someone's PM to me (or mine to them)
in most cases. (But this is a first, only because - after thinking about
it for a while - it was a harmless "thank you" note)
But, he never did reply back to my last sentence, neither.
( Bartab, sorry if you don't approve of this one time, sharing PM note,
that is, if you're still lurking around, old friend )
You know, reading this message does take me back some. Well, some of you all
may know how nostalgic I can be at times. And this example PM note serves
as a perfect example. Oh, the good old days of vcdhelp. Anyway.

hay Bartab,
Thanks for the tip/help with "framserv" virtual dub w/ tmpgenc. Over this weekend,
I was capturing a SCIFI flix "Kill all the Monsters" (I think was the title), and after all those .avi's left over, it was a mess! Anyway, I spent most last night and all day today, running back and forth from one pc to the other, jugling two projects at once. Anyway, I was:
* Capturing
* re-encoding to huff (via virt. dub)
* final encoding via tmpgenc 12
The process was very long and slow. But, after experimenting with frameserving, i found out how to do it, and boy, could I have save a great deal of time encoding. I can't believe it!! But, thanks so much for your help!!
So, what have you ben up to with your project? Getting anywhere?
Thanks!
Thanks again..
