I've got rmvb files with chinese subtitles, can it be removed? Or do I need to convert to Mpeg2 to be removed?

Chances are that your subs are hard encoded. If so they can't just be removed.

Yep. If it's a part of the actual frame, then remove them will be extremely difficult and looks funny, as if that entire bottom section is blurry. So, forget it.
