I have a homemade video dvd. Is there any good tool for modifying the main menu. I don't want to re-authoring the whole disk. I want to keep the same menu and delete some text in the menu background. Any good tool to do that? I have Nero 7 and Ulead MovieFactory but both don't seem to have that capability. Thanks.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking - if you have a homemade DVD, I assume it is already burned to disc. But, if you haven't deleted the original source files yet, you could re-author using the same program(s) you used during the authoring process and make your adjustments there before burning to disc anew.

Of course, you could always use something like TMPGenc DVD Author and import the DVD Video files off the disc and change the menu options altogether.

Post back and leave us more info, ok?

    Hi TTWC,

Thank you for your reply. What I have is a homemade dvd. My brother made it with menu background and buttons and everything. He doesn't have the original source anymore. I want to keep everything the same except changing some text in the menu background. What I basically look for is a program to edit the menu background without touching anything else. Is there an easy software to do this?

Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi BlankMind,

Well, if you use TMPGenc DVD Author, you can import the DVD video from the homemade DVD you have (or bettter yet, use DVDDecryptor to copy the files to a folder on your hard drive) and then remake the menu(s) and layout to your heart's content.

    Try it, you'll like it!

    Cheers!
