  1. when playing a dvd it starts with chinese audio language and jap subs so i have to remove the subs and change the language to english everytime i start the dvd when stopping or turning off the dvd player it comes back to chinese audio and jap subs again how it c ould be saved so it will play with english audio language without subs without having to change tit everytime the dvd starts thank you very mluchhhh

    Depends on your DVD player, but I suspect it's NOT possible, as in Asia they likely put the original language as "default", and English as "alternate".

    This method allows you to jump to any menu or title on insertion of your DVD, setting the audio and subtitle streams of your choice and by-passing anything in your way (e.g. annoying FBI warnings, studio promos and Dolby Digital trailers) and having all the DVDs internal registers set exactly as they would be if the commands followed the original path.

    Of course, this would mean you rip the entire DVD to the HD, modify it, then burn the result to a new "copy".

  8. Sometimes it is possible if the selection of the track is not specially set in the .ifo. I have had such a problem that in a number of DVD's my player will play the german track even if the first track is english. I found it depends of the language selection of the player menu - mine was set in german. So the player itself would play the german track if it exist, no matter which number it is. Then you need to set the menu of the player in english - so it will play the english track if it exist.
