  1. I tried to extract the DV audio file using Virtualdub, and I thought it'd be an easy job but obviously it isn't. The wave file I extracted was about 300mb for 1 hour of DV, but it is bad. I simply used direct stream, and If i use Full Process it gives me an error message says "No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format"
    What Should I do?
also If I just drag the DV file into tmpgenc and try to convert it to mp2, though it does work, but the sound is null, so I dont get any sound at all.

    Please help me

Doesn't sound like DV to me. DV uses uncompressed PCM audio so the file should be much larger. Use g-spot to determine exactly what codec are dealing with (and missing). At a guess, I would say this is a VBR MP3 audio track.

  3. in Gspot it tells me the video codec is dsvd or something and it cannot detect any audio codec to decompress the audio.

I dont think it would be VBR mp3 cus I haven't converted the DV to anything else yet, the audio track is untouched. I used nerovision to capture the DV and I used the DV2 option.
I can play the DV avi in Windows Media Player just fine or any other avi playback software like winamp, but Gspot tells me I dont have any codec installed to decompress the audio which is weird.

I think it might be that I need a codec to decompress PCM format, can anyone please help me on this thank you.

  5. strange enough, If I drag the DV avi straight to CCE or TMPGenc they both work perfectly. but If I use avisynth then it would have problems with both Tmpgenc and CCE. Tmpgenc report an error with with no decoder to decode PCM sound.

    Sigh, what should I do
