Hi,
I have a MSI Geforce 6600 capture card and AMD Athlon 64 3700+ and it's working fine with MAGIX Movie Edit Pro. I just installed Cyberlink's PowerDirector 5 but when I try to capture (even with nothing attached to the card) I immediately get an error window saying 'Failed Macrovision Detection Read'. I can OK that but it keeps coming back. When I hit the record button anyway I get a message saying that the source is copyright protected. I am only trying to capture my own home videos. Any ideas anyone? Can this check be disabled in any way?
Thanks,
Peter

Check for updates on Cyberlink's site. My experience with their software is even recent retail purchases of their products are out of rev.

Thanks, that was the first thing I did. There was a patch but that didn't change anything. I will try an older WDM driver (1.08) which doesn't try to detect Macrovision.
