I'm going to assume you are asking about subtitles. We have a Subtitle forum where you may get better answers. Check the stickies at the top of that forum. Moving you.

  5. Subtitle Creator
    http://www.dvd-logic.com/subtitles.htm

Same name as above, but different software. Very simple and fast, produce .sst files (subtitle and images in Scenarist format) that can be used to authoring with Muxman.

    Thanks.

Are these guaranteed not to create green subtitles?

    Hello !
sorry for my bad english, and i hope i'll be clear in my problem....

I want to make a BR with a new Subtitles. i demux my disc with Ts Muxer and all is OK.
in parallel, i made a MKV file of my .264.
my subtitles are in .SRT and made for 24p. all is ok when i read my MKV + SUBTITLES in VLC PLAYER. (Synchro OK).

I want to pass my .SRT in .SUP for remux in M2TS andadd in my BDMV/STREAM folder etc...

I use srt2sup but i've always the same error message when i try to remux my .sup with TsMuxer :

"Unsupported format can't detect stream type."

I tried to use the RLL ENCODING (in Global setting of srt2sup) and not, but same result....

    i'm lost...

anyone have an idea ???? Very friendly From....... PARIS ! ^^

.SUPs for Blu-Ray are different from the .SUPs for DVD-Video.

You need something like easySUP or goSUP.

BTW, this thread was started before the beginning of the Blu-Ray Era.

  10. side question: is there a command line tool (which preferably also works on mac and linux) that can convert srt to idx/sub and/or (blu-ray) .sup ?

  11. SubtitleCreator can convert SRT to VobSubs (and DVD SUP). Only for Windows, though. Can work using command line.
