  1. I downloaded the demo version of WinDVD Recorder 5 and installed it onto my computer (see specs below). I can get the program to start but when ever i try to switch the source to the Ati Theater driver to capture a TV program to DVD the sound starts and before the video starts it boots me out to a Stop error blue screen with a nabtsfec.sys error. I requested support from Intervideo but they don't offer support for demo software so I bought it. Their support still leaves little to desire.
I have unloaded the Ati software along with the WinDVD R 5 and reinstalled it all and still have the same problem. Other capture software I have work and in fact the WinDVR 3 demo works so I'm lost.

Another odd issue is that I ran the Ati PC Check program and its telling me that I don't have an Radeon Compatible video card in yet I have a retail built by Ati Radeon 9600XT AGP installed. What's that all about? I fired off an email with the screen capture of the PC Check results to Ati and have yet to see reply!!

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you can, post the actual Stop code, it should be in hex like 0x00000000.

  3. Thanks for your reply.
The file that caused the error is the one mentioned in my previous post. The blue screen also states that its a Page_fault_in _a_non_page_area.

    The Stop error reads, Stop: 0X00000050 (0XF77D6FDE, 0X00000000, 0xAD77AFDB, 0x00000000)

    Thanks again.

  4. I fixed the problem by totally wiping out my Ati software and drivers from safe mode then I reloaded the 8.8 MMC that came with the card.

    Thanks anyway.

  5. SO now it works ?? and the moral is......
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.
