I finally got the SVI to DVD system working nicely but I have run into trouble when I try to rip a DVD to xvid or divx. The program chuggs along for about a minute and a half then goes "BING" and says that the job is finished. All I have is an empty AVI file. Here's the info read out:

  2. Is this a VIDEO_TS folder that has macrovision stripped, or is it straight from the DVD?

I brought it onto my HD using Mac The Ripper so I figure the Macrovision is gone. Yes? No?

Does it fail for every title (as selectable in the video tab)?
You could try extracting just the one title you need in MTR, and feeding that to ffmpegX.

I'll try that. What about subtitles? Would bringing just one title in boter that or should I bring in the subs separate?

Tried what you said with the same result. Chugged for about a minute then it said FINISHED. I tried some other settings and was told that FFMPEGX doesn't allow VIDEO_TS input.
