  1. I'll try to explain this as simple as I can, guys. Sorry if it seems long-winded.

I recorded a TV show onto a DVDRW using my DVD Recorded and imported the DVD VOB file into TMPGEnc DVD Author, saving the MPEG-2 to the HDD when it asked if I wanted to.

I then cut out the adverts and announcements at the start and end, using the built-in chapter cut tool, and then outputted the finished show to a DVD folder using TMPGEnc DVD Author.

I then imported this newly copmpiled DVD/VOB into TMPGEnc to convert and save it to the HDD as a new, edited MPEG-2 for authoring later in DVD Lab, but the problem is its outputting the 30-min show in two MPEGs: one section before the ads that I cut, and one section after (on the other side of the cut). Despite deleting the chapter information in TMPGEnc DVD Author (its adds a chapter where I cut the adverts), its still outputting two files when I just want one 30-min MPEG2 of the show.

So my question is, how do I recombine these two MPEG-2s, both with AC3 audio, into onto one MPEG-2 file? Or, better still, how do I stop TMPGEnc splitting the episode into two parts when I convert the VOB to MPEG-2, even though Ive removed the chapter point it created at the halfway point?

I tried bringing the VOB directly into DVD Lab Pro and demuxing it to an MPV and AC3 file, which it did, but the video bitrate was around 11.5 mb/s which is a) incorrect and b) impossible! So I'm all at sea, here

    I hope that makes sense

    It's another method that's relatively simple .

Why not use TMPGEnc MPEG Editor You load the 1st clip and remove any thing you want and then load the 2nd clip and remove unwanted content then click save and name it and save it where you want and then import in TDA
