  1. Hi,

I recently tried using VCDIMAGER to create my BIN files in order to burn SVCD that would ennable the FF and REW features on my SAMPO DVE-620 (at the moment, SVCD will not FF and REW even if I add the SCANDATA.DAT file like suggested by many). But the VCDIMAGER (GUI) seems to do nothing... it's just doing the "scaning MPEG file 1/2 3/4" and so forth. No file is being saved. I tried with a VCD 2.0 and it worked in 30 seconds. But if I select SVCD, it stays there...

    WHY?

Just out of curiousity - did you use the same mpeg files to test the VCDImagerGUI? If you did, then that's your problem - VCDImagerGui is not an encoder.

  3. Nope. I used a VCD MPEG1 file for the VCD2.0 test, and I used a MPEG2 file that was encoded with LIGOS to test the SVCD BIN encoding. The MPEG2 file is a SVCD Mpeg2 file (actually, xSVCD encoded at 480x480 5000bitrate).

Hmm, I think here you have to contact vitualis as I believe he is the inventor or co-inventor of the VCDImager. As you said, your SVCD's are actually XSVCD's - so it may have something to do with this.

  5. No, hvr is the developer of VCDImager. I just gave a few bug reports and did some testing along the way...
