I have a cupple of avi , I dont really have a problem joining them but my problem starts when I load the files into VirtualDub and do video-> direct stream copy, audio -> full processing mode. When I do that the sound from place to place become horrable, like a big horrable static that kills my speakers.
And the second problem is That when I use Virtual dub Filter to add subtitles, it doesnt let me add them in video -> direct stream copy, only lets me add them is video -> Full processing way, the problem with full processing way, is that virtual dub tryes to create a 100 terabity video file.
Any way of getting around those 2 problems.

I got that problem once when I used audio-> full processing mode. other than that when I try to conver avi to dvd, the audio is off balanced, the characters talk, then the sound.

If the audio is MP3 VBR, I would change it to MP3 CBR by saving it out as a WAV and re-encoding it to MP3 CBR. Though if you are leaving it as a AVI, it shouldn't make much difference. If you encode to MPEG with it, it will likely have problems. Best just to dump it.
If you didn't set a codec when using full processing, you will have huge files as it will save in raw AVI format. Just choose a codec that matches the original, probably Xvid. If you are making permanent subtitles on the video, you have to re-encode it anyway.
