I do not own any Divx capable player at the moment so would like to check with your guys how the subtitle (.srt or .idx/sub) shown in the movie when played in standalone player.
1. Would the subtitle shown sometime be too small/big ?
2. Is the standalone player has the feature to adjust the size when it is shown too small or too big ?
3. how would I know if my subtitle size has the best fit for the movie when it plays ?
Just want to find out before I backup all my movies (with the subtitle file) into CD/DVD permenantly.
thanks.

1. VobSubs are bitmap based, so it depends on the subs. For text based subs, that depends on the font in the firmware.
2. Possibly on the more expensive players like the Z500.
3. For text. You don't. -
thanks for reply.
for what you have said, could I jump to the conclusion all these depends on standalone player ? -
you can check the final size of the subs if you use "avisub" or "srt2bmp" to mux your srt/idx subs onto avi/divx file
guides:
avisub:

srt2bmp:

cheers!
