I can't backup the DVD with the last version of DVDFab Decrypter. Warning screen says: Fail to get information; error 4096.
    ???
    Anyone?
    Thanks in advance!

PS: here is region 4 - Brazil, maybe there's a new protection, who knows. I have already searched this forum and found this:

In fact, some people are backing up the files with AnyDVD and I was thinking about something free. DVDFab Decrypter (last version) is definitely not working here.

I've just tried AnyDVD, trial version. Same problem. I have made some tests here. As soon as you start the application, Power DVD crashes and the DVD stops playing. Starting DVDFab Decrypter or AnyDVD make the DVD play as if the driver were searching for something (as it happens when you try to play a defective DVD). I guess it might be a new protection on the disc that makes these applications crash even before they can break the usual protections such as macrovision and others.

I think that the problem is that most ripping software cannot overcome the massive amount of suck contained in that disc.

lol - it might be. Samanthaaaaaaa!!!!

-BTW, I guess the protection may be in the audio file, something like an ill-formed AC-3 as Dipstick has mentioned before:

I just backed it up yesterday, but I did it manually with DvD Decrypter in "IFO" mode.
This does use a different type of copy protection. They usually insert bogus Vobs, but this one uses a corrupt AC3 header. The copy protection ends up being in the Audio rather than the Video. The process is a little complicated, but it can be done.
    - the problem is that DVD Decrypter is crashing too! Anyone pls???

    Almost there:
Here's the PSL2 plug-in and a guide on how to use it with DVD Decrypter to beat Sony's ARccOS Protection:
    http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=56831
The ones choosing these Tools (DVD Decrypter and the plug-in) will also have to download PgcEdit (which main homepage is hosted by VideoHelp! lol):
    https://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html

There's also a tool named DVD43. Seems to work in the background while you rip directly with DVD Shrink.
    More explantions here:

Besides downloading DVD43 at VideoHelpYou, can also download it here:
    http://www.dvd43.com/
Will it work? Stay tuned! Hope it will...
