i have two video files with different audio rates and ive been trying to join them using virtual dub,is there a way i can correct the audio sampling rate by matching them?

Extract the audio with a program such as GoldWave, change it to the settings that you want, then remux it.
I believe you can also use virtual dub to change to the audio. Open the file, set video to direct stream copy, change the audio to settings to what you want, then save the file.Google is your Friend
