    I've got a Pioneer DVR-220

    1. How do I copy a finalized DVD-R? My PC doesn't seem to recognize the finalized DVD, but they play just fine in DVD players. Odd.

    2. Is it possible to edit an unfinalized recording of a TV show I made before I finalize it? How? On the DVD recorder or on PC?

    For questions 1 and 2 ...

Before you begin a DVD Recorder project, you have to first be sure
that you format your disk in standard mode, and be sure that it is
    not in VR mode.

Not a lot of DVD-ROM drives will read VR mode recording from a DVD
Recorder unit. I have this problem. And my Optorite drive will
not even see the disk, and just keep spinning forever.

    My setup is:

    ** DVD Recorder: Pioneer DVR-220S
    ** DVD-ROM drive: Optowrite

It is my understanding that *only* if the DVD-ROM drive unit is from
the same manufacture of both drives, is when it will work, that is,
read the disks from a DVD Recorder unit. There are times however,
when even this will not work. ..is a hit or miss scenario..

Thus.. my setup is not a good match for this process.
