    Hi everyone:

I have created a video file (m2v) and an audio file (48-kHz wave file). I want to multiplex these two files but TMPGEnc would not accept my audio file. The error message is:

"Multiplexing Linear PCM stream to system stream is not supported"

I tried the Project Wizard but TMPGEnc rejected my video source (an m2v file).

What do I have to do to multiplex these 2 files?

    Thanks

you can't multiplex wav with m2v using tmpgenc.

why do you need to join? if you are going to author to dvd you can usually add the m2v and wav as separate files....if you are using good authoring tools like tda.

    Thanks.

I figured a way to get what I want.

Instead of using the newly created m2v file, I used DVD2AVI and created a d2v file from my own orginal disc. Next, I used TMPGEnc with my d2v as video source (actually, if I am not wrong, I think the d2v is not the real source, it simply points to the vob file on my disc), my wave file as audio source, then output as MPG, using DVD-NTSC setting.

I made a test file (approximately 50MB). It was excellent, picture & sound.

Note: I have to go through this whole complicate procedure because my original disc was made with WinXP and my PC uses Win98. SmartRipper, DVD Shrink, DivXToDVD all failed to recognize the vob file on my disc.

BTW, what type of audio file can be used to multiplex with m2v?
