  1. I recently downloaded an XVID and realized that it is not recognized by my dvp 642 which has never happened before.

When trying to play it, the player starts reading then it automatically reverts back to the system menu. There is no disc error or anything.

    resolution is 608*272
    audio: MPEG Layer-3 at 120kbps
    video: 23 frames/second, 99kbps, 12 bit,

any ideas why it doesn't play?

  2. Because your 642 doesn't recognize that format. Whynot convert it to another format? Does it play on your computer?

It's designed for highest divx dvd player compatibility so you should be able to use default settings. It doesn't add gmc and qpel which some divx dvd players doesn't support.

  7. I tried using the program but It wouldn't convert properly, I believe the error was an audio error "mode . ." or somthing. I also tried divx converter which worked well but the audio was out of sync. Is there any other easy to use programs that can do both?
