I've been using Image Grabber II for a while. i haven't found an alternative program which allows me to save the screenshots as customized thumbnails. the end result is an image file that appears like a contact sheet.

I still run WinMe. Suddenly Image Grabber II has ceased performing with wmv files. it works fine with mpg and avi. It's a bit strange and i have no idea how to correct that glitch.

    screen capture of glitch:

Any assistance with this WMV Screencap dilemma would be most appreciated.

the only info i have on the program or author is the following:

How is WMV playback in windows media player ? I'm thinking a reinstall of your WMV codecs may be required.
    If in doubt, Google it.

the WMP works fine with wmv playback which just adds to the strangeness. i was thinking codecs too, but i haven't changed anything prior to the problem appearing. i even removed IG II and reinstalled. No change.

Maybe some one can help me.

    I just installed(actually unzipped) Image Grabber 2.

All my codecs are fine. I can play everything in all my media players(wmv, avi, etc...), but when I try to open a file in Image Grabber 2 I get a "class not registered" error message, and cannot open anything. Mpg's, avi's, wmv's are all the same. Nothing will open.

Image Grabber 1(which only takes single snapshots rather than multiple image sheets in IMGR2) works fine for me also.

Anyone know why I'm getting the error message?

    Thanks.
