How to what? Copy protect? remove copy protect? create your own copy protect? How does Sony copy protect? How to is inadequate.

We aren't mind readers here. Well most of us aren't.

Do a search for a program called CloneAudioProtector. It offers as strong a protection as you will get with the option of several protection methods.

Note: None of them are fool proof otherwise the music industry would be using them.

This basically goes under the "here we go again" heading.

Most cd-audio copy protection technically falls under the virus/malware category. Most copy protections that I've seen compromise your system in some way.

Besides the fact that they can be circumvented with a sharpie or bhy disabling autorun.

Just write Ashlee Simpson on the label, and nobody will want to copy it.

How do you defeat Cactus Data Shield provided in CAP?

I've read about several methods and nothing seems to work. If I managed to re-rip the audio there is noticeable lapses in the playback of the ripped tracks presumeably because of the protections. Is there a method around this? CD freaks tip held promise but it also produces these same results if you can get it to rip that is.

What artists use this Cactus Data Shield?
    Never heard of it.
Never came across a CD I could not rip.

It is one of the protections offered in the CloneAudioProtector(CAP) application.

  11. cap isn't what i need - too much protection because i need cd to be played on computer... i need some kind of copyright to be included on my disc so that when it gets to be ripped with wma-player in my case it'll say that cd is copyrighted blablabla... any solution to this?

Nope no solution. The only home solutions are to prevent ripping which unless anyone can show it I think Cactus Data Shield does the trick. I'd really be curious to know though if someone could figure out how to defeat that.

I tried an app quite a few years ago that was associated with CloneCD...must be the same thing or a newer incarnation.
It worked well but I didn't experiment too much with it.

Not that I do it all that often, but I haven't found a disc yet that I couldn't get to copy--one way or another. And I'm not even talking going the Analog Hole route.

True RedBook Audio CD's DON'T contain copy protection! All the spec allows is the "copy allow/deny" flag, which everything and everybody ignores.
If you're putting CP on an audio disc, it's now a Hybrid. And that always messes with compatibility.
