  1. There is a codec listed in the Tools Section called ASF Mpeg4". I followed the directions to download and install it. I got a warning just as I was about to install it that it doesn't match the Windows XP Logo Standard. So I decided to be safe and not finish installing it.

I am worried it might be something nasty. There was a warning from Microsof that this file could cause my computer system to be unstable.

Does anyone have any information on this topic? I just don't want to risk my computer system unnecessarily. Thanks in advance for any information you can give on this topic.

You're probably fine, but why not run an AdAware or Spybot scan if you're concerned ?
