  1. I was planning on ripping some kung-fu movies from a friend of mine but this is the first time that I've ever tried to rip a dvd. Is DVD Shrink one of the best programs for it? It's not gonna be to complex since most kung-fu movies are pretty barebones with just a menu and play movie with chapter selections.

    I'm sure it will work fine for your kung fu movies. DVDShrink also rips a movie if you want. But since is no longer updated it might have a problem with some of the newer movies. Keep in mind that if your movie is not encrypted you dont need to rip it just copy the files from source to target.
    I want to believe....

    Yes if you don't need it compressed.
    1:1 copy use DVDDecrypter->ISO read->ISO write.
    DVD-9 -> SL DVD use DVDShrink or Nero Recode.
