OK.
Ive finally mastered the art of menu making. Several eps of Good ole SG1 (AVI format) all onto 1 DVD, each episode = 1 button. I know how to add a background pic, BUT.. today I tried to add the theme to stargate (mp3 file) by clicking the AUDIO button, then selecting the mp3 file needed, BUT, the end result was a silent menu.
what am I doing wrong please?
thanks, Kris. (Also from good ole yorkie land!)

I also have experienced this same problem for some time now (previous builds to 2.1 as well) and was just reminded of it tonight when I created a DVD menu and tried to add audio to it. If I select the audio using the Audio button on the Menu bar, it would preview fine but would never end up on the final DVD.
The work around I use to rectify this is to go into the Preferences and Settings and set the Default Custum Audio option to the audio file I want to use for the particular DVD menu I am creating. Then I select "Apply to this Project Only" and all turns out fine. -
Thanks. Ill give that a try. The AC3 that Chris was on about doesnt seem to work either (audio is there on the final DVD but stutters). Thanks again.

One final suggestion.
I usually check the "Don't burn - just create ISO" setting under Preferences and Settings.. Then after SVCD creates the ISO, I use VLC media player to open it to make sure the menu is operating they way I like it to. If all is well, then I burn the ISO to DVD using ImgBurn. This way you won't be wasting time or blank media trying to get the results you want. -

Sorry for not responding sooner - I have been recouping from back surgery.
I think I have figured out what is going on. Hope you can follw this -
1. Add assets - create titlesets, etc..
2. Create menu - add audio using Audio button on Menu bar.
3. Burn DVD - everything works fine.
BUT ...
1. Add assets - create titlesets, etc..
2. Create menu - add audio using Audio button on Menu bar.
3. Go back to main window - select Preferences and Settings button. Make some change like "Don't burn - just create ISO" (but do not set the "Default custum audio" in Preferences and Settings) and select "Apply changes to this project only".
4. Burn DVD - no sound on menu.
It looks like by entering the Preferences and Settings, leaving the "Default custom audio" option blank, and selecting "Apply to this project only" that the audio file which was set using the Audio button on the Menu bar is blanked out. -
I see. I will take a look. Thanks for the details.
